Imagine What Might Be Possible With the Right Support.
Meet Marie
I'm a somatic and relational therapist specializing in trauma, attachment, and the places where people feel stuck or tangled--whether in their relationships, bodies, or inner lives. I integrate Somatic Experiencing and Inner Relationship modalities to support clients in reconnecting with their emotions and inner wisdom.
I work gently and collaboratively to help people unwind patterns rooted in early experiences and trauma so they can move toward ease, authenticity, and connection.

I'm also an assistant in Somatic Experience training for other therapists and clinicians wanting to integrate nervous system awareness into their practices.

I completed my clinical counseling degree at The College of William & Mary.

I aim to create a welcoming and affirming space for all humans and recognize that we live in a world where just being you can be dangerous and unsupported, especially if you are a member of a marginalized group such as BIPOC, LGBTQI or Neurodivergent. I strive to create a safe space that is culturally relevant, without stigma, and where all voices are heard.

Therapy for Trauma, Attachment, and Relationship Challenges Across Virginia and DC
You don't have to have all the right answers to begin. You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply sensing something needs to change. You might be carrying stress that lingers in your body, the weight of past experiences, or a hope that life could feel easier.
l help people wanting change, even if they don't yet know what that change will look like. My approach is science-based, grounded in research on trauma, the nervous system, and attachment.

Creative Support Group
Building Momentum and Creative Confidence

Do you feel stuck in your creative pursuits? You may have ambition but feel unsure where to begin. Perhaps you have been practicing your craft for years and feel blocked, discouraged, or disconnected from it.

This six-week creative support group is designed to help you reconnect with your creative self, clarify your goals, and take meaningful steps forward. Together, we’ll explore what may be getting in the way of your creativity and cultivate a more empowered, sustainable relationship with your creative process.
This group is open to creative individuals at all levels and across all mediums. You may be a professional artist, writer, or performer, or someone who has always wanted to explore a new form of expression. All forms of creativity are welcome, including writing, visual art, dance, music, crafting, photography, cooking, and more.
The group offers a supportive, non-judgmental space focused on exploration rather than performance. Sessions include guided reflection, group discussion, and gentle goal-setting. Sharing is encouraged but always optional. No prior experience or “talent” is required—just curiosity and a desire to reconnect with your creative voice.

This group is a good fit if you:

FAQs

Do you offer in-person and virtual therapy?
Yes, I offer both (as well as walk-n-talk therapy). Studies show online therapy is equally effective (even when doing somatic and nervous system work). The best option is what meets your needs.
Can I have a virtual therapy session in the car?
Absolutely. Many people like the safe feeling of their cars and it's also a great place to have a session if you don't have privacy at home or work. You must, however, be parked and in a safe place. I won't have a therapy session with someone who is driving.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not participate in any insurance plans. The end of each month you will receive a "superbill" which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. It is your responsibility to contact your insurer to understand your out-of-network benefits.
What are your fees?
50-minute, individual psychotherapy sessions are $160.
How do I get started?
Contact me for a free, 15-minute discovery call to see if this is the right fit for you.
